A passenger train running at a speed
of 78 km per hour leaves the station 8 hours after a goods train leaves and
overtakes it in 5 hours . the speed of the goods train is ?
Answer:- As the Passenger Train will cover 390 km in 5 hours at the speed of 78 kmph so the Goods Train will cover 390 km in 8 hours + 5 hours = 13 hours. so the Goods Train is at the speed of 30 kmph (390 km/13 hours).
