The ratio of marks obtained by Vinod and Basu is 6:5. If the combined average of their percentage is 68.75 and their sum of the marks is 275, find the total marks for which exam was conducted.

a) 200
b) 150
c) 3000
d) None of these.

    Answer: Option a
    Explanation:

    Sum of their marks is 275
    => Average of their marks =275/2=137.5

    Let total marks for which was conducted =x

    Then, {137.5/x}×100=68.75

    => x=(137.5×100)/68.75=200
