Question of the day 16-2-2017
A cone and sphere
have the same radius of 12 cm. Find the height of the cone if the cone and
sphere have the same volume.
Answer: Option a
ReplyDeleteExplanation:
Let the height of the cone be h
Volume of the cone
=1/3×π×12×12×h
=48πh cm3
Volume of the sphere
=4/3×π×r3
=4/3π(12)3
=2304 cm3
Since the volumes are equal
48πh=2304π
Solving for h
h=48 cm
