Question of the day 14-2-2017
A
bicycle wheel makes 5000 revolutions in moving 11 km. What is the radius of the
wheel?
Answer: Option d Explanation: The distance covered by the wheel in 5000 revolutions = 11000 m. Hence, the distance covered per revolution = 11000/5000= 2.2 metres The distance covered in one revolution = circumference of the wheel. Circumference =2πr =2×22/7×r 2.2=2×22/7×r ⇒r = 35 cm.
Answer: Option d
ReplyDeleteExplanation:
The distance covered by the wheel in 5000 revolutions = 11000 m.
Hence, the distance covered per revolution = 11000/5000= 2.2 metres
The distance covered in one revolution = circumference of the wheel.
Circumference =2πr
=2×22/7×r
2.2=2×22/7×r
⇒r = 35 cm.
